Improbable, a UK virtual reality company has secured a £388 million investment in the company from Japan's Softbank. It goes to highlight how the UK is leading the way in VR software development. And if you think you've heard of Softbank before, you'd not be wrong. They paid a 43% premium to take control of computer chip manufacturer ARM in 2016.
Improbable was formed five years ago by Herman Narula and Rob Whitehead, both of whom studied computer science at Cambridge University.
